5 Habits that can lead to rise in cholesterol levels
Considerable amount of cholesterol is essential in the body especially in production of hormone but, rise and elevated level of cholesterol can increase health concerns and my lead to cholesterol linked diseases such as Heart disease. In this article we are going to at some of the behaviors and habits that can lead to increase level of cholesterol.
Some of the diet that we consume contains considerable amount of cholesterol. Eating saturated fat, found in animal products, and trans fats, found in some commercially baked cookies and crackers can raise your cholesterol level. Polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats lower the risk of cholesterol. Foods that are high in cholesterol level, such as red meat and full-fat dairy products, will also increase your cholesterol. Always counter-check on the diet that you choose to eat if whether it high or low in cholesterol level.
2.Lack of physical activity
Exercise helps boost your body’s HDL, or “good,” cholesterol which helps in transportation of cholesterol from the liver to the organs that burn and use it. If we have too much cholesterol it can stick to the inside walls of our arteries, narrowing them and increasing risk of cardiovascular disease.
